The hall is available for use for parties or a variety of group activities. We would also be pleased to hear from any user groups who wish to use the hall for regular activities.
The hire charge of the hall is a flat rate of £12 per hour, for a minimum hire period of two hours, with no concessions. The minimum period applies to casual use only (eg, private parties) as there is a cost to the Parish Council for opening and closing, and it is not cost-effective for a one-hour period only. Regular users will be provided with their own key.
There is a free half-hour set-up and half-hour clear-down time applied to each booking; for example, if you booked the hall from 1.00 pm to 3.00 pm, the hall will be opened for you by a Duty Manager at 12.30 pm and will be closed at 3.30 pm.
Where regular users have ‘back-to-back’ sessions, these will be treated as a continuous booking and there will be only one free half-hour set-up/clear-down time for such a booking.
The Parish Council believes that the hire charges are competitive and hope that people wishing to hire the hall will see that it is value for money.
The hall has one large main room for the activities. It is approximately 35 ft x 33 ft and is large enough to take a small bouncy castle (9 ft high) but users must check with their provider to ensure that it will fit into the hall. There is a small kitchen with fridge, cooker and micro-wave, hot water supply for beverages and a few coffee mugs.
